When I'm not busy turning our ideas and dreams into reality, you'll find me globe-trotting with my family, hiking through nature's wonders, or floating in water with a good book. Rocio Gonzalez

When I am not being a fairy godmother with a laptop, juggling calendars, calls or coordinating the needs for different teams, I love spending quality time with family and friends and exploring nature. If any of these include dancing and laughter along the way it's an added bonus.

Inspiration Infuses Passion Inspiration into My Work
“I was inspired by the lack of mental health guidance I was provided within my own childhood and wanting other children to have a safe space and the tools and understanding that I did not have. This is reflected in my work through the rapport and trust built with my clients, the tools and activities I utilize in session, as well as my approach with this population.”
- Mariyah G
My Journey in Non-Profit Work
“Growing up with a single mom who did her best but didn’t always have the right tools to navigate the challenges we faced, I learned firsthand the profound impact that community support can have. Our family leaned on the resources provided by those around us, which made a world of difference in our lives.
This personal experience fuels my dedication to working for Counseling4kids. I deeply understand families' struggles because I've lived them, and I’m driven by a commitment to pay that support forward. Each day, I bring empathy and a passion for helping others to my role, striving to create the same positive impact that once helped my family. This sense of shared experience and purpose shapes my efforts, ensuring that we offer meaningful support to those who need it most.“

The Highlight of My Work is Engaging with Children!
“Children are very honest and funny and teachable. Even though there are a lot of tough emotions that come up, my favorite part is knowing that I am giving support to a child who might be needing it and who might not be getting support anywhere else in their life.”
