Counseling4Kids honored foster children and their families on Saturday, September 21 at Flappers Comedy Club as part of its annual 2 Milk Minimum event dedicated to promoting healing through laughter. With support from My Stuff Bags Foundation, Anadol Rugs, Boyz in the Kitchen and community volunteers more than 20 children and their families enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment, refreshments and fun. Hosted by comedian Michael Rayner, the annual event aimed to create a safe and healthy environment for foster children to connect with their caregivers and celebrate individual success.
“We are pleased with the success of this year’s event. It was inspiring to see our community come together and sponsor so many smiles,” said Richard Burrell, Executive Director of C4K.
The event was attended by Sheldon Brackett, C4K Board President and Traci Shirachi, C4K Board Vice President along with many community members from Burbank and surrounding areas.
